Katie has left us for new frontiers, with her best friend Kathleen. College for these two- wow, where did the time go? She will be gone for seven months, which seems like forever to her mother! We have gone through more than a few tissues on her behalf.

I don't know what is like to have only one leave at a time. Mine left in bunches, but don't worry, be happy - there are other losses edven harder to bear. You just know that Katie is in for some exciting times. She is a beautiful granddaughter and we are proud of her. I keep forgetting to ask how Adam is doing. WoW
Man you sound like she died or something! JK I would never make fun of your pain!
For what it's worth, I am sure that Katy will think of you every once in awhile while she is cooking all her own meals, running out of money, when her car breaks down, and MAYBE when she can't remember someones phone number.
I will shed a tear for you today... and tomorrow and the next. Just let me know when I can stop. oh yeah we are not making fun of your pain!

Oh sis, this must be a rough day. You are temporarily loosing your children's other mother, your chauffer, sou chef, assistant maid, confidant, freind and most of all, your daughter. It seems like we just left to be nannies and now Katie is old enough to do the same!
Well, she is beautiful and smart and she will love college (but maybe not the snow). Hope she reads your blog or creates one of her own--hey Bonnie, we can help make another one! It would be fun to hear all about her life.

Does this make you feel old? Even worse, WoW, does this make you feel old? Just think, she's marrying age and will Shell could be a grandmother soon, and WoW could be a great grandmother. How does that make you feel.

Not to make you feel any better but there are some cute boys at BYUID that are from Alaska, I could line her up......she could just tell them that she would live where ever they wanted......Alaska is a fine place to live.....they are pretty cute.

I can't believe Katie's in college now! It seems like just yesterday when she and Adam came out to Utah and she wanted to stay and go to high school there. That never happened, of course, but it didn't take long for her to be away from home anyway, did it?! Time flies when you're having fun. We'll just have to keep you busy having fun in Blogland, Shell; that way time will fly and she'll be back home again before you know it! :-) Sure is nice we live in the day of technology that we do; it makes those long distances sooooo much shorter! :-)
